Gifted Awareness Week competitions

To mark Gifted Awareness Week (18-24 June 2012), the New Zealand Association for Gifted Children is running competitions to celebrate gifted children, their families and educators. The competitions are open to students living within New Zealand. This year’s theme “Connections” may be interpreted in any way you choose. Judges will be looking for creativity and originality. A number of competitions are being held to mark Gifted Awareness Week (18-24 June 2012) - in writing, art, photo and film.

Practical, Gifted Education PD Course, "Teachers helping Teachers - Teaching Gifted Students

The course is appropriate for primary and intermediate teachers, new GATE Coordinators and school leaders. It is facilitated by Sue Williams, the GATE Coordinator at Fendalton School.
